Wife and hubby burnt alive in Kasur,37 arrested

Lahore: 37 people including a manager of brick making “Bhatta”Afzal have been arrested in Kasur for burning alive bonded labourer wife Shama Bibi and her husband Shahzad Masih.Police have sent the bodies to city morgue for autopsy.

Riots have spread after  this horrible incident,violent people protested in various areas of the city, blocked the Lahore Kasur Road in Kot Radha Kishen and damaged several vehicles.City Police reached at the spot but failed the control the situation.

DPO Kasur Capt. Jawad Qamar has stated that we have demanded more force from to Lahore to overcome the situation and normalized the law & order.DPO confirmed that police have arrested 8 accused including manager Afzal of the bricks making Bhatta.He claimed to arrest the other accused till the evening.

Meanwhile,CM Punjab has taken notice of the incident and constituted a three members committee for probe.Chairman CM inspection team would be the head of the committee where as AIG Investigation Punjab and Secretary Minorities would be the members of the committee.
