India refuses visas to 7 key Players of Lahore Lions Kabaddi team

02Lahore: India’s traditional negative approach especially against Pakistan is not a secret for anyone. In a latest rather shocking development, India also tarnished sports arena with its negative tactics by refusing visas to seven key players of Lahore Lions Kabaddi team for the World Kabaddi League (WKL) matches in Bhopal.

The main aim of such negative campaign from India is to convert the success of Lahore Lions, which was one of the favourite teams of World Kabaddi League, into total failure. As a result of non-issuance of visas to key players, Sports Board Punjab’s Lahore Lions Kabaddi team could not proceed to India for their next round matches.

It’s worth mentioning that Lahore Lions had scripted memorable victories in the initial stages of WKL, but their performance was badly affected by the absence of key players. And these players were absent only due to non-issuance of visas.Lahore Lions

In their next matches, Lahore Lions were to play matches against California Eagles and Khalsa Warriors in Bhopal but the prejudiced Indian authorities did not issue visas to skipper Babar Waseem Gujjar, Lala Obaidullah, M Ramzan Jani, M Irfan Mana, Waqas Raheem Gujjar, Zubair Asim and Lala Saifullah.

Indian authorities, a couple of days ago, agreed to issue visas to Pakistan players when contacted by Lahore Lions manager but suddenly they changed their stance about visas without any solid reason.

It is to be noted here that Indian authorities had also rejected Pakistan requests for visas to several key players in initial matches just to disturb the winning combination of Lahore Lions Kabaddi team.
