Sit-in politics has failed:Shahbaz Sharif talks to various delegations in London

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan is passing through a critical phase and there is no room for politics of chaos in the present situation. He said that the elements who tried to divide the nation on the Independence Day are now themselves divided and sit-in politics has failed. He said that sit-ins have caused an irreparable loss to national economy and the elements engaged in negative politics have got postponed the visit of Chinese President due to which projects of billions of dollars have faced a setback. He said that the loss suffered by the country will be made up through hard work, commitment and determination and the process of national progress and prosperity will continue under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

He was talking to various delegations of Pakistan Muslim League-N which met him in London, today. The Chief Minister said that people of Pakistan have given a five years’ mandate to Muslim League-N and it will come up to the expectations of the masses. He said that PML-N leadership will live and die with the people of the country but some elements are engaged in an evil conspiracy to derail the process of national progress and prosperity. He said that people of Pakistan know who is serving them selflessly and who is involved in the politics of anarchy. He said that those creating hurdles in development activities and the process of national development cannot be sincere to the country.

The Chief Minister said that the elements engaged in sit-in politics have caused a setback to national economy through their negative attitude. He said that the protesting elements should learn a lesson from the failure of their sit-ins and promote constructive politics. He said that the nation will never forgive those creating hurdles in the process of progress and development of the country. Shahbaz Sharif further said that it is not the time to divide the nation for the achievement of personal ends but to promote national unity and strive for the progress of the country. He said that there is a need for promoting consensus and mutual understanding in the interest of the country and Pakistan Muslim League-N government has always displayed tolerance and restraint in politics. He said that Pakistan will be brought out of darkness and put on the road to development.

He said that delay in energy projects caused by sit-ins will be made up. Shahbaz Sharif said that service to the people is the pivot of politics of PML-N and solid measures are being taken for raising the living standard of the masses. He said that Pakistan will be put on the road to progress and prosperity and a respectable place will be ensured for the country in the comity of nations through hard work and commitment.
