Omar Abdel Meguid and Aamir Atlas reached the final of International Squash Championship

Lahore: Omar Abdel Meguid of Egypt  and Aamir Atlas reached the  final of  Serena Hotels Chief of Air Staff International Squash Championship being played  at Mushaf Squash Complex, Islamabad . In the first Semi final Omar Abdel Meguid of Egypt defeated Abdullah Muhammad Al Tamimi of Qatar  in straight sets.

The Egyptian top seed  booked his place in the  final of the championship with superb stroke play and completely dominated his opponent in the 42 minute match. The match score remained 11/8,11/8 ,11/9. Air Marshal (Retired) Muhammad Yousaf Choudhry, Director General, Civil Aviation Authority was the Chief Guest of the Match. Air Vice Marshal Syed Razi Nawab, Senior Vice President of Pakistan Squash Federation, former World Champions Geoff Hunt  and Qamar Zaman were also present at the occasion.

In the second semi final, which was played between Atlas brothers, both brothers displayed supreme squash but Aamir Atlas managed to clinch the match with  the game score of 11/9,5/11,11/13,14/12,11/5. The match lasted for over an hour and was keenly witnessed by the supectators.

Air Marshal Muhammad Jamshed Khan, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Support)  was the Chief Guest of the Match. Air Vice Marshal Syed Razi Nawab, Senior Vice President of Pakistan Squash Federation, former World Champions Mr. Geoff Hunt  and Mr. Qamar Zaman also witnessed the match.
