Ittehad Bainul Muslimeen Committee meets for peace in Muharram

MPA Rana SanaullahLahore: A meeting of Ittehad Bainul Muslimeen Committee was held at 90-Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam today for maintaining sectarian harmony and brotherhood during Muharram-ul-Haram.

Rana Sanaullah presided over the meeting while Provincial Ministers Bilal Yasin, Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, Shuja Khanzada, Malik Atta Muhammad Manika and MNA Pir Ameer-ul-Hasnat were also present on the occasion. A large number of Ulema, Mashaikh and religious leaders of all schools of thought attended the meeting.

Ulema issued a joint communiqué on this occasion in which it was stated that representatives and personalities of all religious sects present in the meeting are fully aware of the demands of security and defense of the country and ready for stability and defense of the country and the nation. Ulema and religious personalities will continue to play their basic and key role for maintaining peace and creating national solidarity, stability and sectarian harmony.

Present national and international situation demands that government circles should make contacts and coordination with all political and religious leaders more effective and result-oriented. Ulema of all schools of thought are unanimous over this fact that the feelings of any Muslim should not be hurt. Ulema, Khateebs and Zakareen of all schools of thought should adopt a balanced and positive attitude in their sermons. Ulema should stress the need of tolerance and unity of Ummah in their sermons and completely avoid differences.

Ulema and members of peace committees will extend complete cooperation to the administration for maintenance of peace during Muharram-ul-Haram. Ulema said that they will avoid every such speech and writings as can provoke and hurt the feelings of any sect. Pak-Army is continuing operation “Zarb-e-Azb” with valor and determination for coping with terrorism and the entire nation pays tributes to the armed forces.

Moreover, the nation also salutes those jawans who embraced martyrdom during this operation against terrorism. Ulema pledged to make the country strong, stable and haven of peace by displaying courage, patience and wisdom in this hour of trial.
