CM Shahbaz Sharif has no spare time to attend assembly session:Minister for Law

Minister Law Mujtaba ShujaLahore: Minister for Law, Finance, Excise & Taxation Punjab Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman has said that Punjab government will make legislation on five ordinances during present session of Punjab Assembly. He asked opposition to join the process of legislation in public interest. He said that Punjab Assembly has conducted record legislation during last six years.

He expressed these views during a pre-session press briefing in Punjab Assembly cafeteria.

The Minister said that the session of Punjab Assembly will again be summoned after 10th Muharram-ul-Haram. He said that annual reports about various departments will be presented during the session. He said that a unanimous resolution will also be adopted against the recent attack by India in border areas during the session.

He said that Chief Minister Punjab works day and night for public welfare that’s why he rarely attends assembly session whereas no Chief Minister of any other province spares so much time for the public that’s why they were seen in assemblies. Replying to a question, he said that those assembly members who want to resign should come to the Speaker and verify their resignation.

To a question, he said that those staging sit-ins and holding public meetings will exhaust and go back to their homes but government will continue to work for the public welfare.

Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman told that Explosive Material Punjab 2014 (Amendment) Ordinance, NUR International University Lahore 2014 Ordinance, Education Syllabus and Textbook Board Punjab 2014 Ordinance, Higher Education Commission Punjab 2014 Ordinance and Local Government Punjab 2014 (Second Amendment) Ordinance will be presented during present session.
