Siraj ul Haq condemns killing of Tahir Malik ,demands justice for bereaved family

Siraj ul HaqLahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq, here on Friday visited the house of the young man Tahir Malik, who was gunned down yon Thursday by the guard of Abdul Qadir Gilani, son of former Prime Minister Syed Yosaf Raza Gilani, and offered condolences with the deceased’s father.

Talking to the media on the occasion, Sirajul Haq said that nobody could be allowed to play with the lives of the innocent citizens. He said had the courts been working independently and had there been a government with the name in the country, such a tragic incident could not have occurred.

The JI chief said that he had come to offer condolences to the bereaved family on behalf of the entire nation. He said that a couple of years back, a CIA agent Raymond Davis killed three innocent citizens in the city but he was sent off to his country and this gave a sense of insecurity to the masses here.

Sirajul Haq said that even after 67 years of independence, Pakistan was being ruled by the Brahmans as in India. Just as in India, the untouchables were not treated as human beings, similarly, the VIPs in this country considered the poor as insects. However, he said, that the JI wanted to uproot the VIP culture.

Sirajul Haq said this was a test case for the Punjab police and the people expected that an independent enquiry would be held into the murder and the murderers would be handed down deterrent punishment under the law.  He said the JI had also set up a legal committee to provide every assistance in the case.
