Sit-ins have been badly affected the energy projects that were to be signed with China :Kh Saad

Khawaja Saad RafiqueLahore: Minister for Railways Saad Rafique has said that the sit-ins have badly affected the day to day business of all the departments of the country.He said due to sit-ins the energy projects that were to be signed with China have been badly affected.

Addressing meet the press programme at Lahore Press Club on Saturday, Kh Saad Rafique said that despite hindrances the government machinery is resuming to normalcy, allegations of PTI of organized rigging is a conspiracy to paralyze the government,he added.

President Lahore Press Club Arshad Ansari,Spokesman Punjab government Sayed Zaeem Qadri,MPA Yaseen Sohal,MPA Mian Naseer and other were also present on the occasion.

He asked Imran Khan to accept publically his meeting with Tahir ul Qadri in London and also disclose the agreement between them.

Federal minister asked the organizers of the sit-ins to end their protest in the best interest of the country. He said it is the time to shun the politics of confrontation and work for the progress of the country.

Saad Rafique said that the PML-N could set up government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but respecting the mandate of PTI we provided an opportunity to PTI to formulate the government.

He said that the government arranged All Parties Conference to take the political and military leadership for the operation against the terrorists. He said the operation Zarb-e-Azb was started against the terrorist in North Waziristan with the consent of the whole nation. He lauded the successes achieved by the security forces in the operation.

Saad Rafique said the government started a number of projects to overcome the energy crisis in the country. He said due to the sit-ins the energy projects that were to be signed with China have been badly affected.

He said when the government took over the foreign reserves at that time were six billion dollars that were raised by the present government to 13 billion dollars. He said the rupee was strengthened but due to the sit-ins rupee has been devalued.

Saad Rafique said that the government has decided to procure 75 new hi-tech locomotives to improve the performance of Pakistan Railways. He said that Pakistan Railways has been given revenue target of 28 billion rupees but he said that we will succeed in collecting more than 30 billion rupees.
