CCPO Lahore changes the command of AVLS to improve its performance

Lahore: CCPO Lahore capt.Muhammad Ameen has changed the command of AVLS today to improve its performance. Now SP Mujahid would lead the command of Anti Vehicle Lifting Squad inspite of SP CRO. He took this decision while presiding over a joint meeting of Mujahid Squad and AVLS. SSP investigation Ch Abdul Rabb,SP CIA Omar Virk,SP CRO Omar Riaz Cheema ,SP Mujahid Zahid Nawaz Marwat and all DSPs and Incharges of AVLS,Mujahid squads attended the meeting.

The CCPO directed that no check post would be established without laptop till the further orders, AVLS to focus on stolen and snatched cars rather to captured leasing cars.He approved a new check post in Chaung.SP Mujahid office would be established  in Investigation Headquarter where he will perform his duties regarding AVLS.He said that AVLS will work in three zones, City and Civil Lines would work under zone one,Gulberg and Cantt would be under zone 2,Sadr and Iqbal Town would be under zone 3.Zone 1 DSP office will be in PS Misri Shah,Zone 2 DSP office in PS Gulberg and zone 3 DSP office will be in PS Mustafaabad.

All the AVLS zone will have their own lockup and investigation centres.Excise & Taxation and Mujahid Squad officials will join AVLS check posts so cut and weld and car theft crime could be minimized.In this regard a new policy would be formed with the coordination of director Forensic and Excise department and a special campaign would be started with the help of Mujahid Squad and traffic police to minimized the motorcycle theft,CCPO concluded.
