PU spokesman condemns IJT torture on teachers

vice chancellor University of PunjabLahore: A Punjab University spokesman has strongly condemned torture of IJT hooligans on teachers and security staff.

The spokesman said that the dialogue between PU administration and IJT were underway when some rogues of Jamiat started to set up a stall along with admission stall of PU administration admission outside Faisal Auditorium and used highly abusive language against teachers. Meanwhile, IJT goons attacked teachers and security guards on the spot with hockey and rods and pelted stones on them.

The IJT activists badly hit Assistant Professor and Additional Registrar 1 Dr Kamran Abid on his shoulder with a wicket and injured Principal of Hailey College of Commerce Prof Dr Mobeen Alam. The spokesman said that Dr Hassan Mobeen Alam sustained serious injury on his hand and he had with 5 stitches on his hand.

The spokesman said that Assistant Security Officer Shahbaz Ahmad, guards Muhammad Shafiq and Muhammad Abbas also sustained injuries during IJT’s attack. The spokesman said that no student organization would be allowed to take law into hands.
