Lahore: Punjab Minister for Special Education & Incharge Flood Relief Chiniot Asif Saeed Minhais has said that on the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, a solid strategy has been adopted for protecting life and property of the people from flood. He said that all administrative machinery has been put on high alert.
He said this while reviewing the relief arrangements in flood hit areas in Chiniot. DCO Dr. Irshad Ahmad and other officers also accompanied him. The Minister visited flood relief center Mathroma, Jamayabad and Bhawana. He directed district administration to continuously monitor flood control arrangements. He said that there should be no delay in evacuation of affected people. Later, Asif Saeed Minhais inspected the under-construction bridge on River Chenab near Bhawana.
DCO Dr. Irshad told the Provincial Minister that nine flood control centers have been set up in the district and all departments have been made alert to cope with any likely flood.
