According to the statistics provided by the Provincial Monitoring Cell, around 20 persons have died and 71 have been injured in Lahore so far.

DG Rescue Punjab Dr. Rizwan Naseer flanked by Commander Disaster Response Force Dr. Farhan Khalid, Deputy Commanders Dr. Ali Imam Syed and Mian Muhammad Ahsan visited different areas of Lahore including Lakshami Chowk; Data Darbar, Ravi Bridge and Shahdara on Friday. He inspected flood preparedness arrangements on Ravi and directed the rescuers to remain on high alert alongwith boats in order to evacuate possible victims in upcoming floods. While presiding over a meeting at Rescue 1122 Headquarters, he directed all the District Emergency Officers to remain in close coordination with district administration and ensure the flood contingency plans. He, however, appealed to the citizens to avoid living in unsafe buildings and remove extra burden from the rooftops.

As per details, some 4015 rescuers participated on Friday’s rescue operations, whereas Rescue 1122 has evacuated 263 victims from different areas of the Punjab, with provision of first aid to 24 victims. Furthermore, 143 boats; 149 rescue ambulances, 46 rescue vehicles and 110 fire vehicles are also participating in current flood relief operation. Overall, 20 people have died in Lahore; 1 in Faisalabad, 4 in Rawalpindi, 5 in Sialkot, 4 each in Gujranwala & Jehlum, 1 in M.B Din, 2 in Narowal, 4 in Kasur, 1 in Gujrat, 2 in Nankana Saheb and 2 in Hafizabad.
