Siraj ul Haq led Jirga calls on PM Nawaz Sharif

Jirga calls on PMLahore: : An opposition Jirga led by the Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq,Thursday called on the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in the federal capital to discuss the prevailing political crisis.  PPP Senator Rehman Malik, was also present.

During the call on, the JI chief stressed that the government, the PTI and the PAT should understand the ground realities and show flexibility in their attitude. He said that the nation earnestly desired that not only the current crisis should come to an end but the future crises should be averted so that the country could continue its journey on the road to progress and stability.

The JI chief said that the speeches made at the floor of the parliament showed that the national leadership was not satisfied with the present style of governance. He stressed that the monopoly of a handful of people on policy making should come to ne end and decisions on important issues should be made through collective wisdom of the society.

Sirajul Haq told the Premier that the opposition Jirga desired that as a result of the negotiations, they should be able to create such an atmosphere and give a formula that was acceptable to the two sides.

The Prime Minister appreciated the efforts of the Opposition Jirga and said that he was ready to for give and take in order o resolve the on going crisis.
