Lahore: Provincial Minister for Law Rana Mashud Ahmed Khan attended the funeral prayers of six persons of a family of Chah Miran who lost their lives due to collapse of the roof of their house due to heavy rain and condoled with the bereaved family. Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin was also present on this occasion.
Rana Mashud Ahmed Khan said that Punjab government will provide all out help and assistance to the citizens affected by the heavy rains in the province. He said that Punjab Chief Minister has announced financial assistance of five lakh rupees for the heirs of persons who lost their lives and rupees one lakh for the persons who received serious injuries. The Minister said that government fully shares the grief of the affected families and best treatment facilities will be provided to the injured persons. He said that arrangements will also be made for the repair of the houses damaged by the rains.
Later, Rana Mashud Ahmed and Bilal Yasin visited Bund Road, Sharifpura and Johar Town areas of the city and went to the houses of victims of roof collapse. They also reviewed arrangements for drainage of rainwater from Lakshmi Chowk Lahore. Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan also went to Jinnah Hospital Lahore and Service Hospital Lahore to inquire after those who were injured in various incidents of collapse of houses. He directed the doctors to provide best treatment facilities to the injured.
