Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq, has said that we have tried ur best to settle the issues and history will give our witness that we worked day and night for this cause. It was the PAT and PTI leadership own decision to prefer uniform rather to accept the political ways. After PTI and PAT chiefs meeting with army chief for settling their issues he said it was not a good message for pakistani politics.
Earlier, while addressing a press conference along with PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira,Siraj ul Haq said the leadership of the PTI and the PAT deserved commendation for having achieved ninety per cent of their demands through their peaceful, prolonged struggle and he hoped that the remaining issues would also be resolved in accordance with the constitution and the law.
The JI chief reiterated that the JI would under no circumstances, support any unconstitutional or unlawful move. He said that as the PTI and the PAT and the government believed in the constitution, the law and democracy, there was no reason why the issues were not resolved through dialogue.
Sirajul Haq said that the JI as well as all political parties had been demanding electoral reforms and fresh elections without these reforms would be meaningless.
Earlier, a delegation of different tribes from North Waziristan called on the JI chief and apprised him of the problems arising due to the military operation. Sirajul Haq stressed upon the government to allow the IDPs belonging to areas which had been cleared to return home and also arrange transport for them. He sad that a high level Jirga should be set up to assess the losses caused by the military operation and cover that.
