Pakistan National Forum demands army to play its role to end crisis

Lahore: Pakistan National Forum has demanded army to play its role as a referee to end crisis,army as a third force come forward and help to resolve the issues among all stakeholders as arbitrator because Martial Law is not a solution of the problems.

Pakistan National Forum president Col(r)Ikram Ullah Khan,former speaker National Assembly Sayed Fakhar Imam,former law minister Senator S M Zafar,former federal minister and Ambassador Sayedah Abida Hussain,former federal law secretary and supreme court judge justice(r) Faqir Muhammad Khokhar,Yastoor ul Haq Malik,former ombudsman Punjab Khalid Mehmood,former corps commander Lahore lt.General (r) M Naseer Akhtar,former law minister Punjab Rana Ijaz Ahmad, lt.General Muhammad Afzal Najeeb,Major General Tariq Hameed,former consul general Indonesia and life member FPCCI Jameel A Naz, Mian Habib Ullah,former president LBA Mian Anwar Kamal,MA Sheeda advocate and others attended the meeting.

While addressing the meeting Senator SM Zafar said issue only could be resolved if army played a role as an umpire. Major General Tariq Hameed said political parties can play a role of third force and in-house change could be made.Former chief justice Riaz Ahmad Sheikh said resignation would not be a permanent solution of the issues.Sayed Fakhar Imam said in present scenario General Waheed Kakar formula is most suitable,power politics game is being played,resignation would strongly build PM Nawaz Sharif image and masses would select him again.former corps commander Lahore Hamayoun Bangish said the demands that were being accepted ,should be implemented immediately,all the situation is before the prime minister,he should take decision soon,Supreme Court should issued such orders that could not be implemented.Abida Hussain said Model Town incident FIR should be lodged,India is benefiting the Pakistan’s internal situation and tension is increasing on the borders.General Naseer Akhtar said army is engaged in a war,Martial Law would not be a good for the country,civil set-up should be working.General(r)Rahat Latif said government has the power and he should resolve the issues.General(r) Afzal Najeeb said change is good but let see it comes through democracy or with the might.Mian Anwar Kamal said it is not understandable that from where PTI won,elections were transparent and where it lost the elections were rigged,anyway a comprehensive investigation should be made on these allegations.
