IDPs issue has gone into background due to the sit-ins: Siraj ul Haq

siraj ul haqLahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq,  have called for finding out a political solution of the crisis created by the marches by two parties in Islamabad through dialogue.

While addressing a large public gathering in Sargodha, Sirajul Haq said that the 180 million Pakistanis were greatly perturbed due to the sit-ins and wanted an early end to the crisis. The country’s economy had been ruined and her image abroad was suffering. He said that whoever takes the lead in resolving the crisis would earn greater respect in the eyes of the nation.

He said the whole nation and all political parties wanted to protect the country’s constitution and the democracy at all cost and the two sides should be given a respectable way out so that the crisis was over.

The JI chief said that the former President had assured that the PPP would continue its contacts with the JI and all other parties, and he had set up a committee comprising Khurshid Shah, Rehman Malik, Aitzaz Ehsan and Raza Rabbani for the purpose.

Sirajul Haq appealed to the PTI to review its decision to tender resignations. He also urged the NA Speaker to defer consideration on PTI MNAs  resignations for the time being. He also set up a committee under JI Secretary General Liaqat Baloch, which would call on the NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and request him not to take a hasty decision on the PTI’s resignations.

Sirajul Haq pointed out that many important issues such as of the IDPs had gone into background due to the sit=ins as the neither the federal government nor the provincial government was giving any attention to them.
