Govt is not sincere for talks: PML-Q

Photo CSH 01 {Aug20-14}Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Senator Ch Shujat Hussain has said that the govt and its allies delegation had come to meet Dr Tahir ul Qadri who had declined to meet them without consulting his allies.

He said this while talking to media along with Majlis-e-Wahdatul Musalmeen President Allama Raja Nasir Abbas and Sunni Ittehad Council Chairman Sahibzada Hamid Raza outside the Parliament House in Islamabad after consultations with Dr Tahirul; Qadri. On this occasion, Senator Kamil Ali Agha, MNA Tariq Bashir Cheema, Sardar Asif Ahmad Ali, Haleem Adil Shaikh and other PML leaders were also present.

Ch Shujat Hussain said that this movement had started from Model Town tragedy and it would end there, the committee which the govt had sent for negotiations we have objection on that because 21 persons named in the FIR also included the name of Khawaja Saad Rafiq as such he should not be included in the committee, Khawaja Saad Rafiq would only say democracy, democracy, democracy. He said if martyring 14 persons was called democracy then we do not recognize such democracy nor we would have negotiations with those persons whose names were included in the FIR, from the speeches which the govt members had delivered in the National Assembly today it seemed that it (the govt) was not sincere for talks.

In reply to a question, Ch Shujat Hussain said now only one way was left that Nawaz Sharif should resign so that the whole work was done peacefully, we would not step back from our stance, federal and provincial governments would go together. He said a Committee comprising members of the allies party was being formed for holding negotiations with the govt and its announcement would be made by Dr Tahirul Qadri.
