Lahore Lions outplay Royal Kings USA

Lahore Lions topped their pool with four points. Raider Shafiq Chishti once again offered excellent performance and played major role in his team’s big triumph with 19 points. He was declared Man of the Match.

SBP’s team dominated the proceeding from the beginning and did not allow their opponents to settle down. Skipper Babar Gujjar, Lala Abaidullah and Akmal Shahzad Dogar also played a key role for their team.

For Royal Kings, Balram Singh and Narvinder Singh also managed to offer some kind of resistance against Lahore boys.

Punjab Minister for Law and Sports Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan and Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar showered praise on such a superlative performance of SBP team.

Rana Mashhood said Lahore team raiders and stoppers were really deserved huge congratulations. “The way our team is playing, I’m quite confident that they will win the title of World Kabaddi League. They really lived up to the expectations of the nation,” he added.

Usman Anwar lauded the performance of Lahore Lions team saying that the brave Pakistan team really made the entire nation proud by winning two back to back matches in England. “It was befitting gift for the nation on the occasion of Independence Day,” he added.

After England trip, Lahore Lions will take on Punjab Thunder on August 23 at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi, India.
