Waqt News starts gutter journalism to compete the other media

Lahore: The Nawa-i-Waqt group that was known for true stories and its  ideology , is now becoming a part of gutter journalism that is being criticized in every circle of life.

It was said that to please the ruling party,Nawa-i-Waqt group channel Waqt News broadcast a fake breaking news  in its prime time that PTI president Javaid Hashmi has decided to quit the PTI and he would soon announce his decision to left the party. Though Javaid Hashmi never gave such gesture to leave the party but Waqt News claimed on behalf of its sources that he would leave the party as he didn’t want that Nawaz Sharif’s to step down as prime minister.

Nawa-i-Waqt that was considered a PML-N news channel where no news could be broadcast against the will of Sharif family,had aired the news of Javaid Hashmi to please its masters.Though new MD of Nawa-i-Waqt group Rameeza Nizami has soft corner for the PTI and its chairman Imran Khan but it looked that she had not enough control on her media group to stop or even discourage the staff for publishing and broadcasting fake news to please the PML-N.

When PTI was protesting against the rigged elections in Islamabad and Javaid Hashmi was leading this protest as a party president,Waqt News was demanded by some PTI workers to express its sorry for the fake news about their party president but the administration did not bother to own its fault and even avoid to give clarification according to the norms and ethics of the professional journalism.
