People have rejected tsunami march and so-called inqlab march: Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that people have rejected tsunami march and so-called inqlab march by remaining indifferent. He said that the nation has seen through TV cameras lack of participation of the people in the untimely long march and so-called inqlab. He said that those dreaming of million march have faced only shame and disappointment.

The Chief Minister said that some elements wanted to divide the nation on Independence Day and create confrontation and anarchy in the country but the enlightened people of Pakistan have foiled their nefarious designs. He said that Azadi march and inqlab march will soon die politically. He said that facts regarding untimely long march and so-called revolution will soon be exposed.

He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of PML-N assembly members, office-bearers and workers, here today. Shahbaz Sharif said that tsunami march has gone to sleep and failure has become the fate of so-called Azadi and inqlab march. He said that the real faces and nefarious designs of Tehrik-e-Insaf and Awami Tehrik have been exposed before the entire nation through their collusion as well as undemocratic and unconstitutional demands.

The Chief Minister said that Imran Khan has shown undemocratic and unconstitutional attitude by demanding technocrat government. He said that the question of resignation of Prime Minister or midterm election does not arise as Pakistani people have given heavy mandate to PML-N. He said that a handful of elements cannot take hostage the entire nation for their personal ends. He said that government is taking every step within the ambit of law and the constitution.

The Chief Minister said that the demands of Tehrik-e-Insaf and Awami Tehrik are unconstitutional. He said that Imran Khan and Tehrik-e-Insaf leadership are trying to hide the worst performance of KPK government by taking out so called long march but the people fully know who is creating anarchy in the country and who is serving them selflessly. The Chief Minister said that in the present situation when Pak army is fighting against terrorists and achieving successes in operation Zarb-e-Azb, the country cannot afford anarchy and chaos. He said that unity and harmony is the need of the hour but some shortsighted elements are putting the destiny of the nation at stake for achieving their narrow political designs. However, Shahbaz Sharif said, the enlightened people of Pakistan have not supported untimely long march and so-called inqlab and will not allow anyone create instability in the country.

The Chief Minister said that the elements engaged in long march and inqlab march have no interest in the solution of the problems of the masses. He said that Imran Khan has joined hands with those whom he had declared thieves and dacoits. He said that the aim of Tehrik-e-Insaf and Awami Tehrik is only to promote anarchy in the country and even those so-called leaders are supporting these elements as had made Punjab the most corrupt province during dictatorial era. He said that Imran Khan is in favour of dialogue with those who killed thousands of innocent Pakistanis but he is not ready to negotiate with an elected government which shows his duplicity. He said that Pakistani people will foil every such activity which is aimed at creating hurdles in the process of national development and prosperity.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan need only one march at this stage and it should be for the progress of the country, prosperity of the masses, elimination of terrorism and removal of darkness. He said that government is not afraid of any one and it will to continue to serve the masses as before. He said that all hurdles in the way of national progress and prosperity will be overcome. He said that it is the first time in the 68 years’ history of Pakistan that an attempt has been made to make an important event like Independence Day controversial and divide the nation. He said that people and history will never forgive Imran Khan and Qadri if the country faced instability. He said that an evil conspiracy is being hatched to create anarchy in the country whereas national stability and solidarity is the need of the hour.
