Jail is the next destination of Allama Dr Tahir ul Qadri:Minister for law Punjab

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Law, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said that Tahir-ul-Qadri and his cronies are trying to create lawlessness and chaos in the country on the behest of foreign agents so that country could not be put on the road to progress and Pakistani nation could not stand on its own feet again and foreign investors should take back their investment. He said that people have become fully aware of the conspiracies of these elements. He said that those who want to destroy Pakistan will destroy themselves.

Addressing a press conference here today, Rana Mashhood Ahmed said that we have said from the day one that Tahir-ul-Qadri is a terrorist and has come to Pakistan for creating lawlessness. He said that today the way his workers have attacked police in Model Town Lahore has fully exposed the real face of Tahir-ul-Qadri.

Law Minister said that the attitude and actions of Tahir-ul-Qadri are against the constitution and state. He said that such a person who is not ready to accept the law and judiciary has no place in country’s politics and we will not let him indulge in goondaism. Law Minister said that jail has become the fate of Tahir-ul-Qadri and a case of treason and terrorism will be registered against him as per law. He said that Tahir-ul-Qadri wants to do politics of dead bodies and we will not allow him to do so. He said that Tahir-ul-Qadri has gathered more than 2500 person in Minhaj-ul-Quran and has made women as his shields. Had there been any truth in his stance he would not have refused to present his stance before the judiciary, he added.

Rana Mashhood Ahmed said that Punjab government has sympathized with the bereaved families of June 17 incident and expressed shock and grief over loss of human lives. He said that we are in contact with the heirs and we will provide them justice but will not allow a person like Tahir-ul-Qadri to exploit the sentiments of the workers. Law Minister said that the workers of Tahir-ul-Qadri have injured seven police officials including one SHO and his goonda force has also burnt a police station. He disclosed that Tahir-ul-Qadri has planned to create law and order situation in seven cities of Punjab but government will not allow him to destroy the peace of Punjab. He said that the end of Tahir-ul-Qadri will be horrible and there should not be any misunderstanding in this regard. He said that the government has video footage of those people who have attacked officials of law enforcement agencies and these attackers do not belong to Lahore and have been called from backward areas. He said that the network of Tahir-ul-Qadri has been exposed.

Rana Mashhood Ahmed appealed to the people sitting inside Minhaj-ul-Quran to come out in a peaceful manner and should not become a part of politics of dead bodies and let Tahir-ul-Qadri face the law. Law Minister said that on receiving the recommendations of joint investigation team, the government will arrest Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that the law will also take its course due to the illegal occupation of Model Town Park by Tahir-ul-Qadri and government will retrieve all places illegally occupied by him.
