Govt out of panic has started crackdown in every district: Ch Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that the govt out of panic has started crackdown in every district against our and Dr Tahirul Qadri’s workers, even sanctity of “chadar and chardeevari” was being violated in case of women, in these circumstances if any political party strikes a deal then its political future will end, our party has bright future because we have come out for welfare of common man and betterment of worst circumstances.

Talking to media representatives at his residence here, Ch Parvez Elahi said he wanted to make it clear that when the history of fall of Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif govt will be written, they themselves would be held guilty to the extent of 95 per cent, people have started seeing blackened face of these rulers, they talk about democracy whereas in reality they were the dictators.

He said TV channels were daily showing to the people that the motor cycles of the people had been seized and dumped in the police stations, people had been confined to their houses by putting up containers all around, false cases were being instituted, Section 144 has been enforced, the Constitution allowed everyone to talk, hold public meeting and take out procession, about what freedom the rulers were talking they were usurping the eights of the people.

Ch Parvez Elahi said further that in Model Town 14 innocents were martyred on the orders of the Chief Minister, more than 100 people were hit by straight bullets and on top of it, FIR was not being allowed to be registered of this incident. He pointedly stated that long marches were held during his tenure as the Chief Minister and also during the tenure of President Zardari but Sharif Brothers were least concerned about children being stopped from going to their schools, patients not being allowed to be taken to the hospitals.

He said that almost in all districts, Section 144 has been enforced, all roads leading towards Lahore had been closed, they tell lie before the courts and say they had done nothing.
