Bikes impounded on a large scale in Lahore to foils Azadi March

DIG Zulfiqar HameedLahore: Police have impounded bikes on a large scale in the city police stations that apparently seems a police effort to foil PTI Azadi March. It is said the CCPO Lahore Zulfiqar Hameed ordered to impounded motorcycles in maximum number so PTI could not achieve its target to take one hundred thousands bikers to Islamabad for Azadi March.

This political order of the CCPO Zulfiqar Hameed was only for showing his loyalties to the Sharif’s government that was earning a bad name for the good governance of Shahbaz Sharif government. Police have been strictly ordered to check every bike round the clock and on any suspect, the bike should be impounded in the police station and should be handed over to the owner after long process of verification and the clean chit duly signed from the concern SDPO.

After the announcement of PTI Chief Imran Khan to take one lakh motorcyclists to the federal capital,It was not a easy task to go out on a bike for any work in the metropolis,a youth commented on the situation outside the police station Shalimar who was there to take back his bike.

On the other hand spokesman to the CCPO office said that no crack down is started under the orders of the CCPO rather bikers are being checked in routine to dealt with the threat of terror in the city.

Meanwhile,PTI Punjab president Ijaz Ch has condemned the police crackdown against the bikers and said that this kind of tactics won’t have any affect on their workers. He said any citizen can approach to PTI office for legal aid in case his bike is being impounded in the police station.
