Nation to celebrate 68th Independence Day with traditional zeal: Raja Ashfaq

Minister LabourLahore:Minister for Labour & Human Resources and Head of Independence Celebrations Committee in Punjab Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has said that the colourful programmes of 68thIndependence Day have been started. He said that Pakistan Muslim League-N will celebrate Independence Day in a befitting manner. National flags will be hoisted at every house, floral wreaths will be laid at the graves of martyrs and it will be pledged to put the country on the road to progress and prosperity under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

He expressed these views while addressing a meeting held in connection with Independence celebrations at Jinnah Hall, Murree, today.
PML-N leaders, office-bearers, workers and notables of the areas attended the meeting. Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that Pakistan is facing internal and external threats, therefore, it cannot afford politics of protests and sit-ins. He said that all political forces should become united and play their due role for the survival, stability and development of the country.

Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that the present government led by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is working round the clock for overcoming all crises including energy but some elements are creating hurdles in the way of development. He said that people has rejected politics of protest.

Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that he will visit entire Punjab to ensure celebrations of Independence functions in a befitting manner. On this occasion, he hoisted national flag outside Jinnah Hall. Participants of the function raised slogans of Pakistan Zindabad, Nawaz Sharif Zindabad.
