DIG Bahsir Ahmed Memon takes charge as Zonal commander N-5

Lahore: The Federal government has appointed DIG Bahsir Ahmed Memon as Zonal commander (DIG) National Highways & Motorway Police N-5, Central Zone. Earlier DIG Bashir Ahmed Memon has been posted as DIG Sukher and Hyderabad, Commandant Baluchistan Constabulary.  DIG Bashir Ahmed Memon also awarded Pakistan Police Medal by Government of Pakistan in recognition of his extraordinary professionalism towards Police Services.

Soon after taking the charge of his new office, the DIG Bashir Ahmed Memon presided over a meeting at Zonal Office, Lahore. He said every effort will be made and all the resources will be utilized to bring lane and line discipline on national highways and provide quality assistance to the road users. . SSP Central-I SSP Muhammed Inkasar Khan and other officials of NH&MP were also present in the meeting

DIG Bashir Ahmad Memon said that he feels proud to be a part of a force known for its honesty, dedication to duty, soft policing, quality help to distressed road users and friendly dealing with the violators. He further said that no compromise will be made in providing timely and effective help to the distressed road users especially during the hot season and in the Holy month of Ramazan.

The DIG also laid stress on the need to install speed checking cameras at the spots which are prone to accidents due to over-speeding of the drivers. He further instructed to specially brief and educate Motorcyclists who are the most careless among all the road users.
