Police claim to arrest 130 criminals of 49 gangs during June 2014

Lahore: Police showed excellent results during the month of June 2014, by arresting 130 accused of 49 gangs here in, Lahore and 106 cases have also been traced against them while more than 4.8 millions recovered from the gang’s members,1802 POs & CAs also arrested in the same period.

According to details, DIG Operations Muhammad Waqas Nazir directed Police officers, to utilize their full energies to curb the crime in the city and to arrest the criminals involved in different unlawful activities.

On his directions, all divisional SPs increased their efforts against criminals and showed excellent results during the month of June 2014 by arresting 130 criminals of 49 gangs who were involved in different heinous crimes, 870 POs, 932 CAs included A&B categories were also arrested.

During the June, 358 cases registered against 362 accused on having illicit weapon and police also recovered 9-Kalashankoves, 9-rifles, 26-guns, 302-revolvers & pistol’s, 6 daggers and 2160 bullets from their possession. During the action against drug dealers, 547 cases were registered and 554 culprits were arrested and 18kg003grm heroine, 120kg 283grm Chars, 445grm Opium and 2553 bottles of liquor recovered from them.

Moreover, 89 cases were registered against gamblers and 428 accused arrested and also recovered betting amount more than 3-lacs. In the same period during the special crackdown 458 cases were registered against 538 culprits on the violation of law.
