Rs. 20 thousand per month will be provided to IDPs

Lahore: Parliamentary Secretary on Information Rana Muhammad Arshad has said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has set up relief fund for IDPs, under which, Rs. 20 thousand per month will be provided to IDPs as well as medical facilities, tents, food and fodder for the animals. He said that polio vaccine drops will be administered to the children of IDPs and an additional amount of Rs. 20 thousand will also be provided to them during Ramzan-ul-Mubarrak.

He said this while addressing a press conference here today. He said that all resources are being utilized for rehabilitation of affectees and donations can be deposited in State Bank of Pakistan, National Bank of Pakistan and branches of scheduled banks. He said that the donations can also be sent through embassies. He said that federal government has released Rs. 1.5 billion to KPK for IDPs.

Rana Muhammad Arshad said that Punjab government has established Chief Minister’s Relief Fund with a sum of Rs. 50 crore. He said that Punjab cabinet and PML-N MPAs have donated one month’s salary for relief fund while a committee has been constituted at provincial level for fund collection and Hamza Shahbaz Sharif is supervising it. He said that committees have also been constituted at district level throughout Punjab.

Rana Muhammad Arshad said that the country is in the state of war and all political parties should support present government in this hour of trial.
