Nawaz govt has not performed the role of federation over IDPs issue, Ch Shujat Hussain

Photo CSH 01 {June26-14}Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Senator Ch Shujat Hussain and senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi have said, the Nawaz govt has miserably failed in performing the role of the federation over important matter of IDPs of North Waziristan though this was an issue of people of entire Pakistan and not just of one province or area.

They were addressing a high level meeting held here today at their residence under presidentship of Ch Shujat Hussauin.

They expressed great concern that prior to the army operation the Federal Govt had not taken precautionary measures nor afterwards took effective and result-oriented steps for taking the four provinces into confidence and bringing them together at one platform regarding this issue which required sensitive and immediate measures because it was more interested in undertaking Model Town operation along with Punjab Govt than the army operation in North Waziristan so that the allies could be taught a lesion ahead of arrival of Dr Tahirul Qadri but they failed in their objective despite so much of bloodshed.

They said that Pakistan Muslim League would not leave the effected persons alone in this difficult time. The meeting decided that the party would set up relief camps in every district and Muslim League leaders and workers would not only make generous donations and assistance themselves but also contact philanthropists in this regard and make all out efforts for collecting maximum possible relief goods which would then be handed over to the relief camps of the Pak Army so that these could reach the real effected people.

The meeting was attended by Tariq Bashir Cheema, Ch Zaheeruddin Khan, Muhammad Basharat Raja, Haleem Adil Sheikh, Ahmad Yar Heraj, Shafay Hussain and other leaders.
