Hungarian Embassy arranged a cultural evening in Lahore

Minister Women Development1 Minister Women Development2Lahore: Provincial Minister for Women Development, Hameeda Wahid-ud-Din has said that cultural events strengthen mutual contacts as well as help understand social values of different countries. She was addressing a cultural evening arranged by Hungarian Embassy at a local hotel, here today. Ambassador of Hungary in Pakistan Istvan Szabo, diplomats, senior officials and a large number of people were present on the occasion. Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din said that Punjab government fully appreciates the invaluable cooperation of Hungary in different sectors. She said Pakistan is facing severe energy crisis and it is appreciable that Hungary has made an investment of 1.4 billion dollars in energy sector in Pakistan. She said it is commendable that volume of trade between Hungary and Pakistan is 56 million dollars. She said Pakistan has an abundance of untapped resources with great potential and it is hoped that ongoing cooperation between the two countries will further increase in near future. She said that Punjab government will fully support any initiative related to promotion of trade and development that would benefit both the countries. The cultural events arranged on this occasion were greatly appreciated by the guests.
