Rulers are in fact at war with Allah: Hafiz Idrees

Hafiz Muhammad IdreesLahore: Deputy chief, Jamaat e Islami, Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, has said that the fate of the country and the nation could not change until and unless the corrupt and dishonest people were at the helm of the affairs.

Addressing the Friday congregation at Mansoora mosque, he said that the rulers had plunged the nation under the slavery of the Zionist financial institutions and the IMF and the World Bank had established such a strong hold on the country that our future generations could not free themselves from that.

The JI leader said that the rulers were in fact at war with Allah and His Prophet by protecting the interest based financial system. Every year, additional burden of taxes was placed on the poor. The foreign exchange reserves were being eaten up by the elite who enjoyed every facility whereas the general public was denied the basic needs of life. The rulers were transferring their wealth abroad and the situation was so serious that the court had issue orders for publishing the names of names of those having assets in foreign countries. The government was protecting the murderers and extortionists.

Hafiz Muhammad Idrees said it was an irony that some of the cities in the country were shut on the arrest of a British citizen in England. Law and order was so grim that no body could have s sound sleep. Corruption had eaten up the society and the institutions which were responsible for eradicating corruption were themselves were deeply entrenched in the evil.

The JI deputy chief said that leaders promising to end load shedding within six months had been in power for full one year but the energy crisis had further deepened and the situation had worsened to the extent that the masses could not have clean drinking water.

Hafiz Muhammad Idrees urged the nation to abandon the path of collective suicide and elect honest people put up by the JI. He said that scores of the JI leaders had been members of the parliament and the local governments but there was not a spot on their character. He said that the fear of Allah was essential for weeding out evil from the society.
