Lahore: Pakistani High Commissioner in India, Abdul Basit met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here today.
Relations between India and Pakistan and the recent visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to India were discussed in the meeting.
The Chief Minister said that Pakistan wants to have cordial and friendly relations with all neighboring countries including India. He said that there is a need to promote Pakistan-India relations for a durable peace in the region.
Shahbaz Sharif said that India and Pakistan should resolve Kashmir, water and other issues through a comprehensive dialogue.
