Anti-terrorist court will trial the accused who stoned to death a woman

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has directed that the case of stoning to death of a married woman in front of Lahore High Court be tried in anti-terrorist court.LHC

The Chief Minister issued instructions to Inspector General Police Punjab to ensure maximum punishment to all the accused involved in this tragic incident and no effort be spared in their prosecution. He warned that no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.

The Chief Minister also issued instructions for the immediate arrest of the remaining accused and said that such brutal incidents are a blotch on humanity and a matter of concern for every segment of the society. He said that this crime is not less than an act of terrorism and the death of a woman at the hands of her father and brothers reflects a highly violent attitude which should be curbed at any cost.

He said that such inhuman incidents are intolerable and the perpetrators are beasts in human form and a burden on the society.
