JI would soon launch a mass contact drive :Siraj ul Haq

Siraj ul Haq Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Siraj ul Haq, has said that the JI would soon launch a mass contact drive with a revolutionary agenda to safeguard the country’s Islamic identity and freeing the masses from the hold of corrupt feudal lords, capitalists.

Addressing the Auqaf Ulema committee, Khyber P. at Al-Markaz Islami, Peshawar, on Wednesday, he said that the JI was committed to the provision of the basic needs to the masses, strengthening Pakistan and making it stand on its own feet.

Siraj ul Haq said that Islam preached adoption of the middle path and  tolerance. He stressed upon the Ulema to play their role in foiling the evil designs of the enemy and promoting sectarian harmony.

The JI chief said it was an irony that Pakistan had turned into a nuclear state, but it was still carrying the begging bowl. He said if the masses voted the JI into power, the JI would turn the country into a modern, developed state within the shortest time.

Siraj ul Haq said that the country needed peace. He said the JI had brought the government and the Taliban on the negotiation table but the rulers did not avail the opportunity for restoring peace. He said that operation or the use of force was not the solution of the problems and would only complicate the situation.

Siraj ul Haq urged the Ulema to confine their factional differences to academics only and promote harmony between different sects and factions. He said the enemy forces wanted to weaken the Muslim Ummah by dividing it in different sects/ groups. He said the JI had always worked for the unity of the Ummah and it was still working for that great cause from the platform of Milli Yakjehti Council.
