Lahore: Provincial Minister for Social Welfare, Syed Haroon Sultan Bukhari has said that government will set up institutions of Qasar-e-Behbood at Faisalabad and Sialkot a cost of Rs. 192.483 million for making women skillful and enabling them earn their livelihood.
He expressed these views while addressing a departmental meeting, today. Senior officers of the department were also present on the occasion.
The Minister said that Qasar-e-Behbood Lahore is making efforts for imparting skills to the women and its scope is being expanded. Branches of this institution would be open in every district of the province, he added.
He said that tenders for the construction of Qasar-e-Behbood Sialkot will be invited on June 5, 2014 while those for the construction of Qasar-e-Behbood Faisalabad will be opened at the earliest. He said that both these institutions of Qasar-e-Behbood will be constructed on modern lines so that its importance could be highlighted in future.
