Women should be protected at workplaces: Dr Zakrya

Lahore: Punjab University Institute of Social & Cultural Studies (ISCS) has organized a seminar to create awareness regarding “Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace” at ISCS Auditorium.

On this occasion, Dean Faculty of Social & Behavioral Sciences Prof Dr Zakrya Zakir, renowned socialist Prof Dr Muhammad Hafeez, Dr Muhammad Anwar, Dr Riffat Munawar, Dr Raaina Malik, faculty members and a large number of students were present.

Dr Zakria said that it was our responsibility to protect women at work places. He said that sense of insecurity was harmful to women’s health as well as their abilities. He said that no society could prosper without empowerment of women.

Dr Hafeez said that it was a part of our culture to respect women at all levels. He said that it was our responsibility as a nation to work for betterment of society. Later, question answer session was held.
