KP culture minister announces financial support for ailing artists

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister for information and culture Shah FarmanPeshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister for information and culture Shah Farman has announced Rs 10, 0000 each for the ailing artists Murad Ali alias Gulbali and ghazal maestro Khayal Mohammad a on Wednesday.

The KP culture minister  called culture journalists forum president ihtisham toru on Wednesday and inform himself about murad ali and  khayal Muhammad health and   said both the ailing artists were great asset and due respect was being given to art and artists adding by his government.

We have respect for our artists, poets and intellectuals belonging to any language and community, resolving their problem is responsibility of the concerned government departments, the minister said. Our government believes in practicality and the steps to ameliorate the plight of senior deserving artists and writers would be given due priority, Mr Farman maintained. The artists and writers serving our real cultural identity should be given respect and appreciation.

The provincial culture minister appreciated efforts of the Culture Journalists Forum (CJF) for voicing problems and issues of the artist’s community adding that genuine and deserving artists and writers should come forward to serve the cause of our soft image.  Bringing peace to this restive land is our collective responsibility and the change is inevitable. We must dispense justice at every step to poor masses, he said.
