Lahore: The managing director Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) Dr. Aneela Salman today paid a surprise visit to various private schools partnering with the foundation under foundation assisted school (FAS) and education voucher scheme (EVS) in the city of Kasur.
She put up various questions to the students and teachers about the quality of education being imparted there and asked the students to work hard in their studies as educated youth is the best asset of the country.
While talking to the school principals, she told that foundation has devised and implemented a comprehensive admission policy for children falling in the category of out of school and dropouts. The purpose of this policy is to accommodate 2.2 million such children in PEF partner schools by 2019. These children will study free of cost. She said that PEF has also initiated well-designed teachers training programs for improving the capacity building of partner school teachers. The purpose of this initiative is to provide quality education to the students, she added.
