Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif went to the residence of late Umair Ali, Reporter Dawn News at Barkat Park, Lal Pul Bazar and expressed condolence over his death to his parents and other family members.
The Chief Minister offered fateha for the departed soul. Talking to the bereaved family, Shahbaz Sharif said that Umair Ali was a dedicated and hardworking journalist. He said that Umair Ali was an amiable and truthful person.The Chief Minister said that he had good relations with the deceased and was deeply grieved over his death.
The Chief Minister announced to name the road of Lal Pul Bazar Barkat Park Railway Crossing after Umair Ali.
Later, talking to media, Shahbaz Sharif said that Umair Ali was a polite and responsible person and upheld public interest in the field of journalism.
The Chief Minister prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the members of bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
