Disciplinary action against IJT is on merit:PU spokesman

vc pu dr mujahid kamranLahore: The Punjab University spokesman has termed the allegations leveled by Islami Jamiat Talaba as baseless and has stated that disciplinary action against the miscreants of Jamiat under the rules and they were issued charge sheets, provision of opportunities of personal hearing etc under prescribed regulations mentioned in University Calendar.

The spokesman said that lie had infiltrated into Jamiat and the student wing was consisted of hypocrites who always tried to distort facts.
The spokesman said that the students who wanted to damage peaceful atmosphere of university, torture university teachers, employees and students would not be given any concession.

But, the spokesman said, the students who came up with their parents, submitted written apology with affidavit and where the PU administration found betterment in the attitude of those students, the administration took lenient view in their matters.

The spokesman said that IJT activists neither read themselves nor wanted others to seek knowledge. He said that IJT activists were involved in extortion and incidents of theft and other crimes.

The spokesman said because of the writ of the PU administration, the IJT was not getting extortion money from canteens, shops, tenders etc in the name of “Ayyanat” and this was the real matter of pain for IJT.

The spokesman said that the PU administration had set historical records in all the academic spheres which were unprecedented. The spokesman said that the people who were connected to Punjab University were fully aware of hypocrisy of Jamiat and academic initiatives of PU administration.
