JI will guard democracy : Siraj ul Haq

Siraj  ul Haq 10.5.2014Lahore: Ameer, jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Siraj ul Haq, has said that the JI would not be a party to any movement that could harm the democratic process in the country.He was addressing a joint press conference at Al-Markaz e Islami, Peshawar on Saturday, with the JUP Secretary General, Shah Awais Noorani.

Sirajul Haq said he would give a road map for the JI’s future political strategy at his civic reception in Lahore tomorrow.He termed the changes in the Khyber P cabinet as an internal affair of the Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf.

The JI chief said that dialogue is the only way to end lawlessness and terrorism in the country. He said that the all parties of the country had given a mandate to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for talks with the Taliban and now it was the government responsibility to a carry the talks forward.

Sirajul Haq told a questioner that a JI delegation led by JI deputy chief Mian Muhammad Aslam would participate in the PTI public meeting in Islamabad tomorrow.

Maulana Shah Awas Noorani, speaking on the occasion, said he believed that the new JI Ameer would play an active part in solving the numerous problems besetting the country.
