I had two special children who died in the early age: Raja Ashfaq Sarwar

Minister Labour & Mrs. Governor Punjab Lahore: Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resources Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has said that special children are an asset of a nation and the country instead of burden on the society. He stressed upon the people from all walks of life to provide all facilities and precious time for making these children useful citizen of the society which is their right.

He expressed these views while addressing the participants of a ceremony for distribution of prizes among special children of Shalimar Special Education Centre at Alhamra Hall today.

Begum Governor Punjab Parveen Sarwar was the chief guest on the occasion while Members National and Provincial Assembly, NGOs, officers of Special Education Department and other concerned institutions, and a large number of special children, their parents and teachers were present.

The Minister said that he has deep affection with special children as he had two special children who died in the early age. That is why he deeply considered the feelings of such children, he added.

Raja Ashfaq Sarwar appreciated the performance of special children in the dance, tableau and other colourful programmes and said that special children are in no way less than the normal children. He said that NGOs and private sector should also extend and provide guidance to the efforts at government level for the provision of education, health and employment facilities.
