Rana Mashud graces the annual prize distribution ceremony of St. Anthony’s High School

Rana Mashhood Ahmed 5-5-14Lahore: Provincial Minister for Education, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said that Punjab Schools Reform Programme is being adopted as a ‘role model’ in the developing countries of the world. He said it is a matter of pride for Pakistan that British Prime Minister David Cameron focused on the roadmap of schools reforms in Punjab for ten minutes during his meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and announced to further expand the collaboration already continuing with a sum of 350 million pounds.

While addressing annual prize distribution ceremony of St. Anthony’s High School, Lawrence Road, here today, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said that this historical missionary school has produced a number of heroes in various walks of life. He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, founders of Pakistan’s nuclear programme Dr. Abdul Qadeer, Dr. Samar Mubarak Mand, Wing Commander Cecil Chaudhary, Najam Sethi, Rameez Raja and many others had studied in this school. He congratulated school management on building the future of the country.

Principal St. Anthony’s High School Shahid Ambrose Mughal presented performance report of the school. Archbishop of Lahore Sebastian Francis Shaw, renowned educationist Alexander Lewis, Br Maxwell Shanti, Saleem Sylvester and others also spoke on the occasion. The students of the school also staged Shakespeare’s drama Romeo and Juliet as well as presented tableaus.
