PU female students donate the money collected for annual dinner

Lahore: The female students of Punjab University Girls Hostel No 5, Hazrat Zainab Hall, has set an example by donating Rs one hundred thousand to Thar victims instead of organizing their annual dinner.

On the advice of Warden Prof Dr Tahseen Mahmood, the female students agreed that instead of celebrating their annual festivity, they should remember the Thar victims facing drought and should donate the money, to be used for organizing the event, to the residents of Thar facing drought.

In this regard, Chairperson Department of Technology Education Prof Dr Tahseen Mahmood called on PU VC Dr Mujahid Kamran to present him cheque of the amount.

Dr Mujahid Kamran lauded the passion of students and said that such ambitions were very helpful for a country when it faced such crisis.
