Pak Army shouldn’t be demoralized:Ch Shujaat Hussain

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Photo CSH 01 {Apr22-14}Senator Ch Shujat Hussain has said that Pak army should not be demoralized and the govt should better come to its senses.

Talking in the Senate and outside with the media here, he cited the instance of great Muslim conqueror Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi, the whole world was aware about whose victories. He said after the victories he (Salahuddin Ayubi) was asked that he had so many victories in his credit, was there also a way to defeat him, Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi replied there was only one way that his army should be demoralized, this was happening in the prevailing situation, in the army every month a pulse report was prepared, in a recent report it was mentioned that in the army about 90 per cent people from a sepoy to the general opined that whatever was happening in the country that was wrong, the enemy was getting the opportunity to defame out institutions, ISI was an institution which was answerable to the Prime Minister, quite regretfully wrong propaganda was being done against it, no govt representative has so far been able to respond to that, it seems that all were deaf and dumb.

Ch Shujat Hussain said whatever was happening in the country these days, all that was happening under a well-conceived conspiracy, what face we were showing to the world, India also has got the opportunity to say nasty things, the govt should come to its senses, so far neither the Prime Minister no any govt minister has raised voice in the defence of the ISI, image of this institution should be restored.

Afterwards talking to media along with Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed and Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Ch Shujat Hussain said that instead of pulling each others’ legs all should come out to defend the institution. He said lawlessness and unemployment in the country have touched maximum heights and the govt was lingering on Musharraf case.
