Women psychologists to to treat n teach Punjab police

IGP presiding over a meetingLahore: The restructuring of the Punjab police and its harmonizing with the modern trends is a dire need of the hour. Therefore, the Punjab Police, for the first time in its history has acquired the services of seven expert psychologists for judging the mental attitudes and aspirations of the police officers and to seek effective means for their quality training. These psychologists who happen to be all women have been posted at all the training centers of Punjab police.

This was stated by Inspector General of Police Punjab, Khan Baig, while talking to the senior officers of training department at Central Police Office, Lahore. Provincial Police Chief told that these psychologists were appointed on merit through Public Service Commission after getting approval of Punjab Government. The selection of these psychologists was made on three years extendable contract basis.

These psychologists will be responsible to maintain the Psychological Profiling of the officers during training along with counseling with them. Their services will also be utilized during the interviews for the recruitment in Punjab police.

These psychologists were also issued posting orders according to which, Ms. Qurat-ul-Aain is posted in Police Training College, Lahore, Ms. Nazia Perveen in Police College Sihala, Ms. Saira Ashraf Kanjoo in Elite Police Training School, Bedian Road, Lahore, Ms. Rabia Nayab in Police Training School, Multan, Ms. Aqsa Safdar in Police College Sihala, Ms. Musarrat Yasmin in Police Training School, Sargodha and Ms Nafja Fatima is posted in Elite Police Training School, Bedian Road, Lahore.
