He further said that six years had passed since any PSA International event had been played in Pakistan. He congratulated the entire Nation on this momentous occasion.

Pakistan Squash Federation had worked hard to get the ban lifted and now international players would participate in the country. He highlighted the support of Professional Squash Association for understanding the stance of Pakistan and giving this historic decision.

PSF under the able guidance of Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, who is also President Pakistan Squash Federation chalked out a strategy of giving frequent international exposure to Pakistani Squash Players. Resultantly, they have enhanced their skills and have improved their international ranking.

The SVP, PSF re-emphasized that it was the responsibility of the

public / private sector to come forward and support the PSF in its bid to
“Regain and Retain” our lost glory. The Pakistani players were showing consistent improvement with five players sustaining the top 100 mark in International rankings and now with one player entering into the top 50 mark.
He acknowledged that there was a long way ahead but the journey of thousand miles begins with a single step. Now that the first couple of steps have been taken we will In sha Allah see a Pakistan World Champion soon.
