Bilal Yasin visits sahulat bazar Shadman

Minister Food 13-4Minister Food 13-4-14Lahore: Chairman Cabinet Price Control Committee Punjab Bilal Yasin has said that due to government efforts, facilities like provision of quality essential items, security and cleanliness arrangements in Sastay and Sahulat bazaars have attracted the consumers and they prefer to visit these bazaars for purchasing quality edible items at cheaper rates.

He stated this while talking to the people during his visit to Shadman Sahulat bazaar, today. He said that special attention is paid to the cleanliness in Sahulat bazaars and edible items are available at cheaper rates at a single place in Sahulat bazaar. He also went to the dengue counter during his visit and distributed dengue awareness pamphlets among the consumers.

Replying to the questions of journalists on this occasion, Bilal Yasin said that the news items about shortage of floor are baseless as 20 kg floor bag is available at Rs.785 in abundance in open market. He said that 20kg floor bag is being sold at ex-mill rate of Rs.765 thrice a week in Sahulat, Sastay and Sunday bazaars in all districts of the province.He told that three trucks each are available at every Sahulat, Sastay and Sunday bazaars where floor is available in abundance.

Bilal Yasin warned that artificial shortage of floor will not be tolerated in the market and hoarders will be held accountable. He said that transparency has been observed in the process of wheat procurement campaign 2014 which aimed at achieving the wheat procurement target by the Food Department. He said that no negligence on the part of Food Department officials will be tolerated.
