Indian women team defeated Pakistani team in Kabaddi

5 6 7Lahore: Indian women team defeated Pakistan team in Kabaddi match  by 38-15 p0ints on the first day of Pak-India Punjab Games in Punjab Youth Festival 2014.

Experienced Indian women’s Kabbadi Team overwhelmed Pakistan without much trouble. They did not give host team a chance to settle down throughout the match. Indian women displayed promising kabaddi skills right from the start with the superb performances were witnessed from India’ Kulwinder Singh and Sukhwinder Singh who claimed 9 points each. They were ably supported by Priyanka Devi (8), Anu Rani and Manpreet Kaur (6 each).Nida Butt was the best scorer from Pakistani side by getting 4 points,while Madeeha Lateef and Augusta contributed three points each in Pakistan’s losing cause. Neelam Riaz and Saira Shah registered two points each followed by Saadia Khaliq with a solitary point.

Match was played in jam pack Punjab Stadium where hundreds of hundred people were gathered to see the interesting Kabbadi match between Pak-India teams.

At the occasion, MNA Hamza Shahbaz welcomed the Indian side in the Punjab Games and said Government was trying to close the people of both countries by creating such events.Defeat and victory was a part of the game,and it never matter,the thing was the passion and the spirit of the games ,no side loose or winner in this match rather it was the victory of the game and the people of both sides Punjab.
