Imran Khan inaugurates Punjab provincial council

Imran Khan_ inaugurates _Punjab _provincial_ councilImran Khan_ inaugurates _Punjab _provincial_ councilLahore:  PTI Chairman Imran Khan inaugurating the first day long meeting of PTI Punjab Provincial council and congratulated the PTI Punjab leadership and said that by new political culture in Pakistan was being introduced by Punjab PTI in which democracy within parties would become possible. He said that the Punjab provincial council will act as a supreme body to decide and implement on the future of the largest province in Pakistan. He appreciated the performance of Punjab PTI and said that the fact that PTI had won by election seats from PML-N specially those against Shahbaz Sharif and Zulfiqar Khosa meant that PTI Punjab was proving to be the real opposition for PML-N. He said that the despite the 35 punctures in the general elections the by elections for pp-81 in Jhang will be a very good contest for PTI if the govt. is not puncturing through there rigging in that constituency. He said that the provincial council body was a real strength of PTI as this would turn PTI into an institution.

He said that the PTI was the first party to promote dialogue with the Taliban and the fact that Taliban has announced cease fire means that the stance of PTI the dialogue should be the first option is vindicated. He said that PTI never proposed that those who wanted to rule the country on the basis of gun should be allowed but had proposed to isolate those who want to talk and those who didn’t want to talk.

Earlier Shah Mehmood Qureshi Vice Charian PTI  said that the review given by PTI Punjab on its performance in the elections and by fighting the case for local bodies and party basis was an amazing performance by PTI Punjab and he was confident that by this provincial body PTI Punjab would be an excellent example for other parties to follow.

PTI Punjab President Ejaz Ch said that PTI was thoroughly a party of a common man as its chairman was not a landlord or a trader but a sports man who had given up his comfortable life to serve humanity with social work and went through his political agenda of change. He said that Punjab would set all examples of innovation by being the loudest voice for the common man in the assembly and outside the assembly. He said that PTI Punjab will become an institution by implementing ISO 9001 certification in its organization.

PTI Punjab Gen. Sec. Dr. Yasmin Rashid gave a whole review of the PTI performance and said that in the one year PTI had won important seats in Punjab forced PML-N govt. to have party elections and cancel their delimitations and put pressure on the govt. to reduce the high prices of petrol and other items.

PTI Punjab Sec. Information Andleeb unveil the plan for making PTI and institution by carrying out ISO 9001 audit and bringing PTI on international standards of systems and procedures. She said that PTI was an extremely grateful to media for joining hands in raising voice against the injustices on violence against women where PTI had consistently raised voice and PTI has also presented a bill on violence against women in assembly.

Later on the provincial council presented 4 resolutions for the Punjab council the first resolution was PTI would fight for water scarcity and threat in Punjab and would push the govt. to make the ruined dams. The second resolution was on poverty and inflation where PTI would demand rights for labour and would protest against the unfair privatization that the govt. had been carrying out state enterprises at very low rates. The thirds resolution was that the govt. must protect women and children from violence and pass the bill on domestic violence presented by PTI in the assembly. The last resolution was passed on minority right where PTI demanded that govt. treats minorities equally in every aspect of life.

An oath taking ceremony was presided by the Chairman PTI Imran Khan in which nearly 600 members from 36 districts took the oath. MNA Shafqat Mehmood, MNA Munazza Hassan, MNA Rai Hassan Nawaz, Opposition Leader Mian Mehmood Ur Rasheed, MPA Ali Raza Dareshak, MPA Mian Aslam Iqbal, MPA Shanila Rout, MPA Sadia Sohail, MPA Nabila Hakim Ali, Aleem Khan, Naeem Ul Haq, Sobia Kamal, Farooq Amjar Mayer, Usman Saeed Basra, Aliya Hamza Malik, Noor Khan Bhabha, Riasat Ali Bhatti, Rana Naeem Ur Rehman, Shahzed, Nadeem Qadir Bhindar, Sheraz Cheema, Zubair Niazi, and office bearers from all 36 distritcts and regions of Punjab were present.
